Here is a picture of some of the Bean bags that I made for the boys. These are made out of a bunch of old socks. I filled with some beans then sewed them shut. I tied off with a ribbon and painted on the smiley faces on them just for fun. I plan on using them in math class for the boys. There will be a target set up for the boys. Gabe will count up how much make it in and not in. Sam can practice his graphing because the bean bags will have some differences. Something simple and cheap for class that anyone can make.

I love your bean bags! I must say you have the NICEST looking old socks I have ever seen! I have used baby socks to make bean bags but after my children grow out of the baby size I can only use socks if the mate is lost the day I buy them. LOL! My children run outside in socks if I don't keep a close eye on them the will forget to put on shoes. They ruin nice white looking socks like the ones you made beanbags with in just a few hours.

I have some beanbag games I took pictures of but never got around to posting on my blog. We cover the floor of a room with numbers. To do this we use numbers on paper, hop mats, on an old bed sheet, pieces of cardboard, or masking tape numbers. Then D. will toss the beanbags on the numbers then say the number and ,jump, hop, roll, wave, shake blink, or something else that many times. We end the game by using the number the bag lands on to count out that many animal crackers, raisins, or such for snack time.

Travis does the same type of thing only I have him use a bunch of the bags at one time and then have him add them all up together (5-10 numbers at a time). I sometimes have him use 2 bags and then subtract, multiply, or divide them. Sometimes I have him use several bags to make longer numbers. If he tossed 3 bags and got the numbers 4,6,9 We would make it 469 and then make another number using 3 more beanbags and add or subtract them. I've made up more beanbag math things but I can't think of any others right now.
