Randomness

I had severel photos that I thought were interesting just not enough of them to make a post on their own so I decided to do this random post.
First up Sam's Sentence cups.  I wrote different sentences on the cups that might be properly written.  He had to tell me if they were written correctly on not.  If they were not then he had to tell me a way to fix the sentences.  Once he did that he used his catapult to knock them over.

Can you find Gabe?  This is the inside cover of one of our science books.  He thought that it was hilarious.
We have played lots of games.  One of our favorites right now is Guess who mix and mash.  This one was my person and Gabe kept telling me that he could see the resemblence.  Such a nice kid I have here. LOL
We have gone on walks around the neighborhod enjoying the wonderful nature that we even find here in the city.
Playing lots of music.  Gabe really gets into it, LOL.
Sam learned how to make a syphon on his own that worked.  He was so proud of it.
Recently we started going back to the main branch of our library because they are opened on sundays and it is better for our schedule.  We had not been there in a long time because one of the reasons is that they were closed a year for renevations.  So when we went back we were greated with this amazing mural in the lobby.  The book of Einstein was Sam's favorite.

(taken by Gabe)
Of course we spent time capturing memories.

Avengers Mansion

Gabe has become obsessed with the Avengers over the last few months.  Well for you that have seen the Avenger's on Disney XD know that they have a mansion as their headquarters.  For Christmas we got an unfinished doll house from Michael's.  We painted it up for him to have the mansion.  He even got a bunch of the little action figures to put in it.  Some were from us but he used his Christmas money to get the rest.
Here are some shots of the inside of the mansion.  We still have not decorated the inside up yet.  It is really hard finding the furniture that is not all pastels.  We are still on the look out for some though.  I think some paintings might be neccessary to.  We will see.

For the outside I painted a big window on each end.  Then as you can see the back has windows and a door on it.

With some of the christmas money he did also buy the Shield Ship.  Sam took an old box and decorated it up to have storage for him.

The house itself is not being used as much any more.  I think that he is getting tired of moving it around.  It is almost the same size as him,LOL.  I am going to work at setting up a special area for it and I think that it will draw his attention back to it.

Also make sure to sign up for the mathblaster review.

Someone Turned 8!!!
Needless to say he was pretty excited about it all.  He kept saying all day that it was the "BEST DAY EVER!!!"  LOL
One of his first gifts that he got to open was from his Aunt and Uncle in New Jersey.  He was to funny and told me I better get the camera.  Always the little ham!  They did such a great job.  They got him a little handheld game from the movie Cars
This was his really large big gift from us.  He saw this monkey at Toys R Us and loved it.  The thing is though that he saw it at christmas after we had already finished all of his shopping.  So we really surprised him on his birthday.  We even bought a couple shirts for him to dress up in.  My husband thought that the Donkey Kong shirt on him was to perfect.
Look at the size compared to him this thing is huge.
He is really into music and wanting to be a singer.  Sam got him a new guitar for his birthday to help along that dream.  Such a good brother.  ;)
Gabe even wanted to have his monkey Sam (yes he named him after his brother) play the guitar too.  He actually took this picture of him.
My two monkeys eating banana monkey pancakes.  We got an adorable pan at Target for the monkey pancakes.
Gabe is really into the movie Cars.  His dad made this play set of radiator springs for him.  then to go with it we picked up some extra cars to go with it.
His cake.  O.k.  first go easy on me they were really hard to take pictures of  because of all the different angles.  Of course it is not the best job on the decorating either, but that is a whole nother story.  It was of this really cool ice cream and cake pan that I got at target.  Unfortunetly I did not take a picture of the pan to share with you and I can not find a link for you to see it.    The animals on it were a monkey (of course), an elephant, a lion, a gator, and a hippo.

We had a really nice lunch with family.  Gram and Harriet made a 4 hour drive just to have lunch with him.  I think he is pretty loved.

Getting a little sugar high from the cake.

What always comes after the sugar high...the sugar low of course.  This monkey is so comfy to snuggle with...  seriuosly comfy.
even Rob got a snuggle in.  LOL
Later that night we had some friends stop by.  Which it is always fun to watch this little guy play.  He really loved Gabe's car that he got for christmas.
Sam used his uDraw to make brother a birthday card

Chef Gabe...

Gabe has been really trying lately to help out in the kitchen.  It has been alot of not right now because you are not ready for this.  Well he is not going to be ready if I do not give him a chance.  So I got The Mash and Smach cookbook from the library for him.  This is such a great cookbook.  Very easy recipes to do, and all by himself.  He made his first recipe for us over the weekend and did a great job.  He asked me if it did come out good would I still eat it.  Aww so cute and Of course I said yes.  Here a some pictures of him cooking, please excuse any messes you see in the background.

He made Pizza stuffers.  He took Pita bread and put some cheese and pizza sauce inside.  Then he put them in the oven long enough to melt the cheese. ( his dad actually put them in and took them out of the oven)  he did everything else on his own though.  He was so proud of himself.  Incase you are wondering the lunch came out great and he will cooking again this weekend.

Imagination...

Oh my little guy oozes imagination. His favorite thing to say is "What if..." usually that is ended with some unusual possibility. He definetly keeps me on my toes with all of the stuff that he comes up with. I thought I would share some pictures from today on some of the silly things he came up with.
Here he was playing with a fabric tunnel that I made for him a while ago. Look at the smile he is such a doll. :0) Well to start with he was crawling to his platypus, Pepto. After that he stayed in it and pretended to be a log. Once he was done being the log he came over to the table where his brother and I were working. When I asked him what he was doing his reply was "I am a dragon". Who knew how much you could do with a fabric tunnel.
Here while he was waiting for his next lesson he was playing imagianary attacks on other countries and trying to conquer them. He did not use a single item for this except the map, and played awhile with it.

Then he decided to be just plain silly. Yup he is eating a lemon! That is my boy, gotta love him. These pictures by the way is just a 2 hour time period today. He is always trying new things out.
His imagination has always been strong for him.. He can be anywhere and entertain himself (as long as he is not tired) no matter what he has. One day I even saw him pretend his fingers where people. Oh I love that Imagination. What does your child create with their imagination. I would love to hear. Leave me a message telling me. Till next time have a great one.
