As most of you can probably tell from my recent entries that we are trying to get our ever tiny apartment organized so that we have a little more room in here. After all the boys are getting bigger every day and yet the place seems to be getting smaller and smaller. (LOL) Well last night we decided it was time to bunk the boys beds to give them some more room in there. They loved it so much they both wanted to do their school work in their beds. When they finished the work they took full advantage of having a much larger floor to play on. They put out race car and train tracks. Gabe even played in his rice bin. All of that and my living room is still clean. Yeah!!!! LOL! Oh and i do not know if any of you noticed but right above Sams head is a poster of the world. The kid loves geography so much it is the first thing he sees when he wakes up and the last thing he see at night. So you guys can probably see why we choose a world geography theme for us to study by this year.

Looks great! Love the map on the ceiling, what a fantastic idea.

Thomas has a bunk bed but sleeps on the bottom now. Isn't changing the sheet on the top a bear? One reason I'm glad he's on the bottom -- I don't change it often because of that.

Heather I had bunk beds growing up. I slept on the top. It was like my very own space. I had it decorated with clouds and care bears. It makes so much more room. I sometimes wish my kids were the same sex so I could bunk them. Sammy looks so happy.

The same below the window framed by the bottom bunk would be a great place to tack up little bits of learning. There is something about the bunkbed that makes putting things on the wall beside the bed seem cozy. Good to hear that they enjoyed the new play space.

That would be "the space below the window"

I would love it if my son asked to do some school in his bed! I would enjoy one morning of peace and quiet. LOL! I wish I could afford a set of bunk beds for him. Maybe I will have the money for a set by the time my girls are old enough for them. I love the look of bunk beds it reminds me of my childhood!

Thanks Everyone!
Frankie- Sammy has the tavel bug so most nights he falls asleep dreaming about the places that he wants to visit. Yes it is a bear to change the top bed. That is why I get my dh to do it (he is 6'3) I can be pretty sneaky :)
Yasmina- Sammy is really happy. He was bouncing off the walls the day we put them up. I hope to individualize the space a little more by making curtians for each of them.
Nina-I agree. He is hanging pictures up that his brother makes for him. I do want to hang some stuff along there that we are learning about, but I hav not cme up with a way that he will not tear it down yet.
Amber-If only it was peace and quiet LOL. most of the time his little brother was whining that he wanted to go up there.
