We have started baking our own bread lately. This is our lovely bread from today. Keep in mind when you look at it, I really only started making it last week. So I am definatley not a pro at it. Please do laugh. Ok you can laugh because I am. I must say though every loaf is getting better tho. I think this time my secret to getting it even better was .........
My Helpers. How cute are they. They helped through out the whole process, the mixing and the kneading. Of course after it had risen and needed to be deflated, that was the fun part for Gabe to help with.
That is our cooking experience for today. Have a great day.

We've been making our own bread for a while now. So worth the effort! I do my kneading on a placemat so that the dough doesn't stick to the counter. Much easier to clean than the counter.
Looks like the kids had soo much fun! I wish I knew how to make bread so my kids could enjoy the fun!
I love the idea of using a placemat. Cleaning (scraping) the counter is the part I don't care for.
It's great to see the boys enjoying their baking time. I always incorporate a cooking lesson into the weeks homeschooling schedule. It helps my son with his reading and math. Now that he is older (9), we change the recipe so he has to use fractions to make it. Then the reward is getting to eat whatever he made :)
Gorgeous..I have been doing it for a while, and yours look prettier than mine. ;-)
With warm honey..we don't care what it looks like.;-)
