Sorry I have been gone so long. I have been busy preparing lessons for the new school year. We plan on starting the new year this week. We are going to be doing World Geography for a theme this year. Sammy is really in love with the US (He is one of the most patriotic people I have ever met.. LOL..) so we will start there. After we finish that we will be making our way around the world. We plan on making lots of crafts, playing games, enjoying recipes from all of the countries. Plus anything else we can think of. I hope that everyone will join us on our world adventure.

I wanted to share this with everyone. I have been trying to make some Montessori type lessons up for gabe. Here is my start of the moveable letters for him. He has been having so much playing with these. I made them out of salt dough. Then I painted them up in the red and blue.
Pirates....oh my!!!

The boys decided to play pirates tonight and they dressed up with supplies from around the house. So here are pegleg Sammy and pegleg Gabe.

Well they talked daddy into playing Pirates to. So here is a picture of him trying to get some sleep on their new ship. He says that he was battling sea sickness.

So sweet sleeping..LOL. However the boys had other ideas. My husband is a very good sport. He knew that I was putting these on and did not try to delete them like I probably would have. LOL...

Your Superpower Should Be Mind Reading
You are brilliant, insightful, and intuitive. You understand people better than they would like to be understood.Highly sensitive, you are good at putting together seemingly irrelevant details. You figure out what's going on before anyone knows that anything is going on!
Why you would be a good superhero: You don't care what people think, and you'd do whatever needed to be done
Your biggest problem as a superhero: Feeling even more isolated than you do now
What Should Your Superpower Be?

Just a quick update. We had Sammy's first evaluation done today. Just incase anyone did not know, here in Florida children have to be evaluated before moving on to the next grade for homeschooling. Well he passed his with flying colors. The evaluator was really impressed with him. He is so excited because now he is an official second grader. We are very proud he worked very hard for this. Now we can not wait to start on our second year of school.

Ok. I think that I am all caught up on my post now. I wanted to share this photo. Gabe was so happy he got to help us with supper the other night. We were making homemade mac and cheese so we let him crush up the tomatoes. He had so much fun doing it that we had to drag him away from the bowl. I am still finding tomato around the kitchen. LOL
Our Picnic in the Park!!!!
I thought that I would share some of our shots from the park the other day. With everyone being so busy we try to make sure and sit down at least one day a week and have a special breakfast together. Well this week we took it over to the park. The boys had a lot of fun. They played T-ball and went on the play ground. I love the brother love, when Sammy pushes Gabe on the swing, so sweet.

BirdHouses!!!

A little while back I posted about my goodies that I got. Well some of the items that I got where birdhouses for the boys. I thought that I would share some pictures of the them painting their birdhouse. I hope you enjoy them.

Tea anyone??

Well another one of the Montessori activities is letting the child do pouring activities. We thought that this was a wonderful idea so we bought him his first tea set. Besides being able to pour his own drinks now, this project can teach him some woderful table manners (which he needs so much). Here are a couple of shot of him having his first tea party with his dad. As you can see from the first one he was loving it.

Some of our school day.....

The picture above I thought was very cute. Sammy was supposed to be doing his writting work. Well he decided that it would be fun to help Gabe learn to write some. They were so sad when I had to seperate them. The picture below is another one of Gabe's Montessori activities. He had to take the clothes pins and attach them to the tray edge. He thought that this was so much fun because he taught himself how to open and close the clothes pins with his mouth. That is my talented little one. LOL..
