Missing.......

Ok so I have been missing for a week. We are starting to feel better around here. I thankfully did not catch the stomach bug that my three guys had, but now I came down with a nasty head cold. I thought that I would spend today working on my blog. Getting some future things set up incase I get really busy again and have a hard time getting back. With this entry I thought that I would share some new links that I like.

This first one my mom sent me as a way to clean the inside of the computer screen. I must say that it was very helpful and my moniter has never looked so good. So check out how to do it over here.

Next is one that was left at my blog as a comment. It was from the author of one the books I had posted on my book list. She has her own blog that she writes about what it is like to write stories for children. Then she has a website to that has alot more information and things that you can do with her books.

I love looking to see how people have found my blog and sometimes it leads to great new links. Like this one on Malt-O-Meal cereals. They have their own site that has tons of activities and recipes. You definetly check out the site I am sure you will find something on it that you like.

So now I have some things to work on for the blog. As well as getting some different posts set to go, I will try to work on my sidebar to and fix some things over there. Lots to do so see you all soon.

I wanted to share a great Link with everyone that I heard about. Some one in on of the online groups that I am in shared about Postcrossing.com It is a really neat site that you can get postcards from all over the world. When you sign up you can request up to five addresses. When you have them, mail them a postcard. Once they recieve it they register it on the site. As soon as they register it your name goes to the top of the list for the next person that request an address. Really a lot of fun. And a really fun way to learn about geography.

Gabe really enjoyed "Pirate Pete's Giant Adventure". He has really been into Giants lately. he think that when you become and Adult you become a Giant. Very cute. Sam enjoyed the book "Four Feet, Two Sandals". He found it really interesting. I also got the book for Sam called "Abe Lincoln--The Boy Who Loved Books". It was right up his alley. It dealt with a president and books, perfect for him.

My friend Sherry gave me a link with recipes that kids can make all by themselves. See Here. Gabe tried out his first recipe and had a great time with it. He made Coconut Bananas. I put a pisture below, It does not do them justice. They were really yummy. He sliced the bananas in to chunks. Then he dipped each chunk in Orange juice to prevent browning. After that he coated them in coconut. Really Yummy. The kids loved it.
Now on to Sam. He is the cutest little book worm ever. This is how he spent his morning. He got a new book last night and loved it. Click here to see what the book was.
I am going to try and get more post in soon. I just have really been busy to trying to get ready for the upcoming tax season :(. DH is an accountant so I am about to become a tax season widow once again. Got to get ready for that.

Links to Share----
I thought that it might be fun to share some of links that we have been using here and really enjoy. Well Geography is a really big thing that we study here. So I have 2 links to share that are fun Geography games. Hope you enjoy....

The first is from National Geographic. It is the Geobee Challenge. It is a very tough quiz. It is the same questions that they give in the actual challenge so you can see how good you would do. It is not timed so we wrok as a team to find the answers. Sam has so much fun with it.

The next one is The Traveler IQ challenge. It test your geography IQ. Very hard but very addicting. It starts of easy but every few rounds it gets tougher. Test your IQ and see what you get. My highest so far is only 100.

So those are my new links to share. I will try to share some new ones that we like and are having fun with each week.
